Job description
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work closely with young people, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and deliver personalised interventions. Your role will include:
Assessing speech, language, and communication needs
Developing and implementing tailored therapy plans
Supporting young people with learning disabilities, developmental disorders, and communication challenges
Providing guidance and training to families, carers, and support staff
Working collaboratively with schools, healthcare teams, and community services
Maintaining accurate clinical records and progress reports
Promoting communication strategies that enhance independence and daily functioning
Essential requirements
Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
Valid registration with relevant professional body
Experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities
Strong communication, assessment, and therapeutic planning skills
Good command of spoken and written English
Compassionate, patient, and person-centred approach
Right to work in Malta (or eligibility to obtain it)
